The sky's the limit
In July there was snow on the mountains and the most spectacular skies over Greyton. This little church on the road to Greyton was lit by a rainbow. The village of Greyton was chilly, but the mountains that surround it were magical.

Greyton
Greyton is a gorgeous little village tucked into the majestic Riviersonderend Mountains, not quite two hours away from Cape Town. This is my parents home, a country house at the end of the main road, adjacent to the nature reserve.
This is the more formal front garden, filled with roses and daisies and many, many lovely flowers and trees.
St Francis watches over all the creatures that visit the garden.
The house was designed by Cape Town architect, Mike Rodseth, and built in the Cape Dutch style with large, cool rooms and beautiful finishes.

Snow in Greyton
There was a sprinkling of snow on the surrounding mountains in early winter, (Photo by Alice Notten) followed by a few more impressive snowfalls up on the higher slopes. This is the main road of Greyton looking very wintry. From garden gate, the tips of the Riviersonderend Mountains were white. And the garden had its own snowdrops.

The World Cup comes to Greyton Village
World Cup fever is upon us and in Greyton with its large English population, the atmosphere was really festive on the eve of the England vs USA soccer match.
England supporters.
The Post House gearing up for the match. In the evening the braziers were lit and the village came alive with soccer supporters.
Duel allegiances. Go Bafana Bafana! Go England!
